Volgens de legende is Northern Lights oorspronkelijk ontstaan uit genetica van 11 verschillende zaden, ergens aan de West Coast in de VS. De genetische achtergrond mag dan een mysterie zijn, maar Zambeza Seeds heeft alle vertrouwen in Northern Lights en kruiste haar met een Afghani van topklasse. Het resultaat is Northern Lights XL, een Indica dominante kampioen die ongelooflijk grote opbrengsten levert, eenvoudig te kweken is en extra zware toppen produceert.
Een van de beste kweekeigenschappen van Northern Lights is de buitengewoon korte bloeiperiode van ongeveer 60 dagen. Zo'n snelle doorlooptijd kan nuttig zijn als snelle resultaten gewenst zijn. Binnenkwekers kunnen planten verwachten van 120-150cm hoog en opbrengsten tot 600-750g/m². Buitenkwekers, met een zonnige locatie, kunnen zich echt verheugen op het XL gedeelte van deze hybride: Planten worden gigantisch, tot wel 170-200cm, en produceren 550-650g per plant.
De smaken van Northern Lights XL zullen worden herkend door old-school kwekers en rokers. Aroma's zijn fris en bieden een mix van zoete en citrusachtige aroma's. Comment : I was very satisfied with ordering Northern Light XL!This strain is not very demanding,easy to grow,i would recommend it to experienced growers and beginners.I got exceptional yield this year,i was watering twice a week,without any additives or chemicals,i prefer my weed to be 100% natural!I like it also bcz i can harvest it at end of September and avoid any mold infestation which is a big issue in my country with late blooming strings!Buds were full of resin,trichomes,tightly packed and got caa. half a kilo per plant!One plant was exceptional and i got 850 grams from her,but this plant had best conditions possible! I grow outdoor and will order same strain for the next year when time comes! :) Make sure that plant has lots of sunlight - main factor and when i harvest i cut upper half of the plant,lower half i leave for 2 more weeks and buds gain 30% in weight,this way i get best yield from the plant!Good luck and i recommend it to anyone that wants to harvest earlier then usual!
